1. Nature of credits
A credit is a prepaid, revocable licence to consume a unit of platform capacity. Credits are not currency, not e-money, not a deposit, not property and not a financial instrument. They carry no cash value, accrue no interest, cannot be transferred between accounts, gifted, sold, traded or exchanged, and cannot be withdrawn as cash.
2. Consumption
Credits are deducted atomically when a job is accepted or, for real-time features, as the session runs. Consumption rates differ per feature — for example, a per-second rate for Live, per-video or per-minute rates for Studio and Lip-Sync, per-operation rates for photo features, and flat rates for verifications and rentals. Current rates are shown in-app and are authoritative.
If a session is interrupted, the credits consumed up to the interruption remain consumed; only unfulfilled work is refunded to your balance.
3. Minimum balances and feature gates
Some features require a minimum balance before they can start. Reaching a zero or insufficient balance mid-session will stop the feature. Deepacal is not liable for content lost because a session ended for insufficient credits.
4. Bonus, promotional and grandfathered credits
We may grant bonus credits, for example with Live activation or as goodwill. Bonuses may be time-limited, feature-limited, non-refundable and revocable if the qualifying purchase is reversed or if abuse is detected. Where activation requirements are changed by Deepacal, accounts may be designated grandfathered; that designation is discretionary and may be reviewed.
5. Expiry, dormancy and negative balances
Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains active and in good standing. We may expire credits on accounts that have been inactive for twenty-four (24) months, after notice to your registered email. If a provider settlement or reversal causes a negative balance, further usage is blocked until the balance is restored.
6. Recurring and scheduled services
Scheduled Studio jobs and auto-renewing number rentals consume credits automatically at the scheduled time. You are responsible for cancelling schedules and disabling auto-renew. Failed automatic charges due to insufficient credits cancel the scheduled service without liability.
7. Adjustments and corrections
We may correct balances to fix accounting errors, reverse credits granted in error, or claw back credits obtained through fraud, chargeback, multi-accounting or exploitation of a bug. Manual adjustments by administrators are recorded in an audit log.
